The Software License Manager will eliminate the need for the hardware security block and make Server Licenses available on Windows NT/2000/2003 Servers with Windows NT/2000/XP Clients.   Software Node and Software Server Licenses will be issued to all new customers and can be issued to existing customers upon request.
To obtain a Software Node License or a Software Server License you will need to download the program "wprtsysid.exe" and run it on your Workstation or Client following the instructions below.   NOTE:   Our Software License Manager requires that you have a "Network Card" installed in your Workstation or Server!
For a Node License you need to log on the Workstation that needs the license and execute the file "wprtsysid.exe".   When the window appears type in an "N" and press enter.   Your Node System ID will be displayed.
For a Server License you need to log on to a Client machine and execute the file "wprtsysid.exe".   NOTE:   The Server share must already be mapped as a drive on the Client.   When the window appears type in an "S" and press enter.   When prompted enter the drive letter of the mapped drive for the Austin N.C. software (i.e. S:) DO NOT forget the colon, and press enter.   Your Server System ID will be displayed.
The System ID is also written to a log file called "wprtsysid.log".   You will then need to send the System ID or the entire file to us so a license file can be generated and returned to you.
